Important Announcements

Senior Requirements: The deadline for the 15 required hours of senior community service is
March 27,2026. Volunteer hours must be completed and approved in Passport For Good (P4G).
Class of 2026 students may begin senior community service starting June 28, 2025. The link to volunteer opportunities is located on the left-hand navigation.

Community Service Programs

Manhasset High School has 2 community service programs:

  1. Senior Year Graduation Requirement (supervised by Mrs. Margaret Ronai, Social Studies Department)
  2. Secondary School Community Service Award (supervised by Mrs. Margaret Ronai, Social Studies Department)
  3. Service and Citizenship Award is granted through Secondary School Community Service Award hours.
    All community service hours must be with non-profit charitable organizations.

All community service hours and approvals must be completed via Passport For Good (P4G).

1. Senior Year Graduation Requirement

Community Service is a Manhasset High School graduation requirement. Students can complete hours over the summer after junior year and/or during senior year with approved non-profit charitable organizations. All hours and validations are due no later than March 27, 2026 for the Class of 2026.

   2. Secondary School Community Service Award

    ● Eligibility period: July 1 – June 30 of each school year.

Service & Citizenship Award

Eligibility period: July 1 of Grade 9 – June 30 of Grade 11.
Awarded once at graduation for cumulative hours.

Grades 9–11 (cumulative) 85 hours Graduation Cord

3. Service and Citizenship Award

Supervised by the Counseling Department, this award is granted to seniors who complete a minimum of 85 community service hours during grades 9-11 with non-profit organizations. Hours must be submitted via P4G, joining the Service and Citizenship group corresponding to your graduating class.

Additional Notes

  • All community service hours must be completed with a nonprofit organization.
  • Students log volunteer hours in one place: Passport for Good: Manhasset Community Service Log.
  • Entries must be stamped by the event supervisor.
  • Approved entries will automatically be applied toward all goals available in the date range.
  • Students may log multiple days at the same volunteer experience in one submission.
  • Students can view their progress toward each goal on their Passport for Good dashboard.
